Mood: At WarA rather eventful week in the life of an Abbas:
Thursday, I left for my school trip to Lahore. Same day, this happened:

so we were pretty much locked up in the hotel with crazy security around us, but it was still great.
Friday , this happened:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/south_asia/8310117.stm
but it didn't stop us from going to one of the most amazing places I've ever visited. The world's second largest salt reserves:
Saturday, we visited a university and then went to the famed Pakistan-India border at Wagha. It was amazing to see thousands of people smile , despite what was going on across the country at the time:
Sunday, we got back to my city after an unbelievably enjoyable trip under the circumstances.
Two days of normal life, and then:

and
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/south_asia/8317676.stm
So, I'm pretty bored without school for a week so I thought I'd update ES about my whereabouts

Mood: The UsualIt's not the largest country in the world, not the strongest country in the world or even the region, not the most liked nation in the world or the happiest nation in the world, but today, all that doesn't matter, today is the day we unite-regardless of provincial loyalties- to celebrate what became, 62 years ago, Pakistan
My kind of loyalty was loyalty to one's country, not to its institutions or its office-holders.
To many more years of independence, whether it exists or not . Pakistan Zindabad!...Created 2009-08-13 20:09:29
ALSO, I got my AS Level results which were better than most of my friends surprisingly. I got 2'A's and 2'B's, which is what I had decided I'd be happy with.
As expected, the 'A's were in Math and Economics , 'B's in Chemistry and Physics....Created 2009-08-11 03:23:58
