God. cares about words. deeply.
and has a trash can full of hearts.
in the kitchen. where time is cooking. simmering.
on. low. smells delicious. and on His refrigerator.
door. held up. with kitty-cat magnets. are poems.
about flowers. sunshine. rainbows. butterflies. soup.
and in the closet. is a broom. dustpan. shotgun.
boxing gloves. God was once. a prize. fighter.
but. then became. a writer. and. began to meditate.
in the evenings. He felt sorry for. all the first. round knockouts. so. went on the television. radio.
to ask for. forgiveness. and. some money. and. to tell everyone. to. wash. their. hands for supper.
i know. all. this because. He told me. so now. i lay me. down to sleep. if i die. before i wake. please.
help. me do it. positively.

i think about me. only. always. my problems. my past. my whys. my excuses. poor me.
i like to talk about positive thinking while spilling negativity on the carpet. behind the scenes. from a whiskey glass. a light bulb. tin foil.
thinking positive is my doing something. without. doing. or changing anything.
the mirror is the proof in the banana pudding.
i love everybody. else.
and they know it. because i think it. feel it.
force. feed. it.

in conclusion. there is no. moral to. this story.
just do. everything. with a smile. fake it. if you must. and. don't forget. to help. yourself. because God. insists. and is. very busy. as for me. my hands. are clean. and i. don't intend. to get them. dirty.

this is a way, opening into the dark,
outside comfortable, waiting for your light
to show a life outstretched and willing
to pay no attention to circumstance or surroundings.

mostly this is knowing,
that as simple as it sounds,

of scheming how to beat the noblest game
a man can proudly lose,or playing dead
and hoping death himself will do the same
