    Mood: Straightening things out...

If you've tried and tried and tried, tried and tried, remember it's the fifth try. Why attempt it again. It's obvious you don't need it, anyway.

It was recess time at St.Paul's. A nun told her class there would be a test after recess on the seven gifts of The Holy Spirit. Jill told hr friend,Clara,"We have to think of something to help us remember what the gifts are."
Clara,, uninterested said, "My uncle is going to take my three brothers fishinng after school."
Jill excitely said,"You've got it! You said it!"
"Got and said what, Clara shouted !"
"You have said the seven gifts. Listen to my question.
Will uncle come for Ken,Fre and Paul."
"Yes, he will, Clara said,"But what's that got to do with th gifts?"
Jill said,"Watch as I count off on my fingers each word of my question. The first letter of each word is a gift, except the conjunction 'and'. There is Wisdom,Understanding,Comfort,Fortitude,Knowledge, Fear of The Lord and Piety."
Clare happily clapped and said,"Jill, you are a genius!"
"No I'm not. I just pay attention to what people say."
The recess bell called the students back to class.
The nun handed each student a sheet of paper on which was written the statement,"Name the seven gifts of the Holy Spirit."
Time as calledfor the papers to be handed in. The nnun told the students to turn to page 219 of their textbooks and silently read as she looked over the test papers.
A few minutes passed. The nun called Jill and Clara to the frot of the class and said,"Most of you forgot the gift of 'Fear of the Lord', but Jill and Clara put down all seven. She asked the two students,"Why did you not forget 'Fear of the Lord'? "
Clara spoke with a broad smile, "Will uncle come for Ken,Fred and Paul?" Clara explained the question to the class. The nun wennt to the black-board and wrote the question. She admonished the class to committ it to memory as she dismissed the class.

A second grade boy and girl were waiting with their parents for the school bus. The boy asked the girl,"I bet you don't know how the world was made!" The girl bristled her femininity and answered,"It was made how my mom makes biscuits. First she thinks about it. Then she takes out everything and lines them up.She then pours some flour into a bowl. She adds things to the flour for it to do what she wants it to do. She then pours some buttermilk into all the stuff and rolls it into a ball and bakes it."
"Silly," the boy said, "He didn't go to all that trouble. He let two stars kiss each other and let them marry. They formed the world with their love."
"Mom! Mom!" the girl shouted, "How can a star kiss another star?"
"Honey, they just wink at each other."
"Ha,Ha!" the girl said then poked out her tongue,"Stars can't get married! They don't know what sex the are!"
The bus came before the boy could explain his point of view.

I thought that a stimulus was an aphrodisiac. Seems like government wants to get a bit too close for comfort. Government has given me a big pill much too large to swallow. It hangs there in my throat choking me. I wonder how many unnecessary bridge repairs will there be just to use up the money quickly while commuters get fired from their jobs for being frequently late. Politicians every two and four years rile against the big rich dudes, but as soon as they get elected they do some heavy smooching-up to those who they only days before had ridiculed. I know why they do so, they can't fool this poor guy. It's a putting on of too much butter thinking this poor guy will think that the jam will soon be spread over the butter. It's all too stale of a bread for me. Underline these words I say. It won't be long before higher taxes will be placed on gasoline, personal property, higher realestate assessments and the whole gamut of consumer products as politicians weep their fake tears and say,"We've got to steal from Peter to pay Paul." Why not do away with consumer taxes and levy a set amount of yearly taxes since we taxpayers lie, cheat and steal anyway on tax deductionns. I know you have seen the tv ads where some taxpayers owe Sam $300,000.00 and some sleek lawyer gets it so that they only pay back $69,000.00. LOOK HERE,BUBS, its me the poor guy you'er hurting. If I'm audited and found owing $I00.00 I'm going to have to pay-up or go to jail.

Have you noticed or even feel there is a slight spring breeze blowing over the shoulder of mankind. Perhaps there is a tiredness,a dissatisfaction that acting uncivil produces not the desired effect but eactly the opposite. " The old man below" has been overworked and is running out of innovations to fuel his fire. Maybe he has an energy crisis. In the real view it is that hummans see that their world is crumbling beneath them and uncivility is its cause.

Have you considered the old cliché: Today is the first day of the rest of your life? What are you to do with it? It's worth more than a toilet tissue. It's the beginning of now and the last time, perhaps, yesteday will come to haunt you.

Now that Christmas Day is over and the hoopla of carols seem far away, we finally have time to reflect upon The Magi in their willingness to worship a God they had not as yet met. As we take the ornaments off the tree(some of them heirlooms)we hold them momentarily in our hands and reflect how each one has brought us closer to the meaning of love. Our desire is to take those mentorships and share their bringings of love with all those we meet. As we wear our newly found embellishments we joy to the offerings of friendship that somehow mingles our hearts and minds as one.

Hello. A happy, merry an worshipful Christmas to all of you believers. To those of you who don't believe in Christmas, have a happy day. To those who don't believe in a happy day, have a miserable day. To those who don't belive in a miserable day, then there are no days left to be accounted for so just have a second in time.

Miguel. an eleven year old asked his mother, "Why are toys so expensive?" The mother replied, 'The toy maker,The manufacturer, the wholesaler, customs office, the retailer an all the people working for them are charging the buyer to play with their toys."
"Gosh, mom, all those people handling my toy! Did they wash their hands ?" The mother said,"They're supposed to."
"Mom, mom, did you wash yours?"
She didn't reply, then asked,"Did you?"
"Why should I,mom, I'm the last person to touch it."
The mother smiled in relief,"Then you'll have to put your toy away after playing with it."
