    dotsJournal: My Poet :)dots
    Mood: The Usual

    I think the only thing which would inspire me to learn 'spanish' is Pablo Neruda. I simply adore his work and style. I wish I knew 'spanish'. I am painfully stuck with the english translations.

    Clenched Soul
    We have lost even this twilight.
    No one saw us this evening hand in hand
    while the blue night dropped on the world.
    I have seen from my window
    the fiesta of sunset in the distant mountain tops.
    Sometimes a piece of sun
    burned like a coin in my hand.
    I remembered you with my soul clenched
    in that sadness of mine that you know.
    Where were you then?
    Who else was there?
    Saying what?
    Why will the whole of love come on me suddenly
    when I am sad and feel you are far away?
    The book fell that always closed at twilight
    and my blue sweater rolled like a hurt dog at my feet.
    always you recede through the evenings
    toward the twilight erasing statues.

    Leaning into afternoons.
    Leaning into the afternoons,
    I cast my sad nets towards your oceanic eyes.
    There, in the highest blaze my solitude lengthens and flames;
    Its arms turning like a drowning man's.
    I send out red signals across your absent eyes
    That wave like the sea, or the beach by a lighthouse.
    You keep only darkness my distant female;
    From your regard sometimes, the coast of dread emerges.Leaning into the afternoons,
    I fling my sad nets to that sea that is thrashed
    By your oceanic eyes.
    The birds of night peck at the first stars
    That flash like my soul when I love you.
    The night, gallops on its shadowy mare
    Shedding blue tassels over the land.

    I would try one of his book, more of neruda on

    trust me, you would not be disappointed :)

    Mood: Sigh...

    I have been reading/posting some myself about poems on heartbreak. Needed to read some reassuring thoughts on the same. Posting, some quotes I liked...

    *God is closest to those with broken hearts.
    -Jewish Saying.

    *God can heal a broken heart, but He has to have all the pieces.
    -Author Unknown.

    *Giving up doesn't always mean you are weak; sometimes it means that you are strong enough to let go.
    -Author Unknown.

    *When love is lost, do not bow your head in sadness; instead keep your head up high and gaze into heaven for that is where your broken heart has been sent to heal.
    -Author Unknown.

    *Relationships are like glass. Sometimes it's better to leave them broken than try to hurt yourself putting it back together.
    -Author Unknown.

    *Don't worry about losing. If it is right, it happens - The Main thing is not to hurry. Nothing good gets away.
    -John Steinbeck, 10 November 1958.

    Mood: Relaxing

    it feels special when somebody writes something beautiful inspired by me. It's not all about great gifts that someone buys. It's special when someone paints or writes, inspired by me.

    Mood: Overwhelmed

    last evening after i watched Friends, i sat to read a book by Paulo Coelho. He's my favourite author when I am in those self-reflective moods. As always I marked things i could identify with that moment..

    "At some point, we have each said through our tears, 'I'm suffering for a love that's not worth it'. We suffer because we feel we are giving more than we receive. We suffer because our love is going unrecognized. We suffer because we are unable to impose our own rules".

    "True love is an act of total surrender"

    "Perhaps love makes us old before our time-or young if youth has passed. But how can i not recall those moments? That is why I write-to try to turn sadness into longing, solitude into remembrance"

    Mood: Thinking...

    I am in India and it's so damn hot. The festival of holi was celebrated on Easter Sunday. I celebrated with my childhood friends after nearly 10 years. After I moved to Mumbai for work and it has been work and more work. I am waiting for the mangoes to arrive that I have asked for. Reading some poetry whilst I wait...and as usual marking things I identified's such a slow and lazy day..

    "It is too late for anger,
    Nothing prevails
    But pity for the grief they cannot free"

    "Above the blue sky arching wide
    Two black locks, on either side and
    O, how he cried
    'I thought my strength could know no stemming
    But I was foolish as a lemming;
    for what
    Was I born, was it only to see
    I'm as tired of life as life of me?
    let me be forgot"

    "A bid used to visit this shore;
    It isn't going to come anymore.
    I've a come a very long to prove
    No land, no water and no love.
    Here am I, here are you
    But what does it mean?
    What are we going to do?"

    Be kind, take a few minutes to review the hard work of others <3
    It means a lot to them, as it does to you.
