Some say he wears a cloak of black
Silent at times yet coming back
To give mankind one last attack
But to such beliefs I must decline
For the Angel of Death is a friend of mine
Some say he comes for the old and weak
Or to those who for the devil seek
And kills them with his deathly shriek
But none of these my friend define
For the Angel of Death is a friend of mine
Some try to run, some try to hide
But those in peace never once tried
For they sought after Death in pride
It’s them whom in honour now shrine
For the Angel of Death is a friend of mine
So if Death knocks your door one day
Don’t be frightened, don’t run away
For he’ll guide you to heaven’s way
Accept him and you’ll be just fine
