Elizabeth was next in line for the throne but wanted anything but that. Unfortunately, her father would not have of it. No princess of his was going to walk out on the duty she owed the kingdom. Elizabeth had always dreamed of adventure and one day decided to go look for it. She ventured into the market place against her father's wishes and was soon cornered by a group of vicious thugs. A penny less street smart thief suddenly appears and helps Elizabeth, not knowing she was the princess. They bid each other ado and the princess returned to the palace. Three days later the boy was caught stealing bread and was brought directly to the royal family. Elizabeth had no choice but to sentence the boy to death in three days. Now the two struggle to keep their love and the boy's life. They must now try to convince the King to spare the boy's life within the short time period of just three days.
