Setting & Atmosphere

Sweeter than summer and more putrid than a skunk. What exactly is Magic? Certainly not mythical--as many people had believed. Suddenly, the modern world is erupting with fairies, elves, vixens, druids, nekos, angels, pixies, unicorns, et cetera. Why now, why after all these years? Why do the magical creatures of the world choose to show themselves now?

For years the magic of the world has lived away from human life--both dark and light under that single common law--afraid of unmasking themselves to the greed of humans. Until now. Even the magical creatures don't know how it happened, only that, for some reason, the black magic remains hidden. Who is the omnipotent force behind this disaster? If the magical creatures want to restore balance, they will have to team up with the humans. Wizards, Enchantresses, Witches, Spellcasters, Temptresses; Prepare to be reborn! After all, everyone has a little magic in them!

Freya looked at Eternia as did the Neko, "Fighting." Freya muttered, her fangs still in her opponet's lower neck. "Get off me, rat!" The Neko growled, his upper back, shoulders, and neck were bleeding teribbly. Freya slid off his back, the claws on her hands left jagged cuts all the way down to his lower back. The Neko yelped in pain but didn't attack, he knew how powerful elves could be and didn't want to upset Eternia any mare than she already was. Freya's muzzle, hands, and feet were covered in blood. Torone looked at Kylirah, his eyes wide. "Really, I don't know. I was just talking with my girl, Court, and then, we met Eternia and Freya...and everything just kinda... you know" he said. He couldn't quite understand all that had happened. Created by Torone at 2008-05-15 17:56:55

Eternia was shaken out of her musical reverie by the cacophony that the neko and Freya were making. She stood up, her head high and her chin pointed out. She walked up to wear the Neko and Freya were fighting and glared dangerously at both of them. "What do you think you are doing?" she asked, the soft twinkle of her eyes gone and the sing song tone in her voice melded into a heavy strum like that of an electric guitar. The Neko glared at Freya, "Look where your going rat!" he hissed. Freya sized the Neko up, he was a warrior, an accomplished one at that. She responed to his hiss with an angry squeak, "Don't call me a rat!" "But thats what your are, isn't? Cats eat 'em for breakfast." The Neko's face was now a inch or so from Freya's muzzle, "Guess what, I'm a cat." Freya jumped onto a table, the occupants gasped in surprise. The Neko lunged at her. She lept up into the rafters. Freya quickly dropped down onto her opponet's back. She kicked and bit, her hand claws sunk deep into the cat man's shoulders as he tried to through her off. Kylirah watched both Freya and Eternia walk away and turned to Torone. "How did you get caught up in all this?" she asked curiously wondering whether he was a 'magical' creature too. She looked around for about the 20th time. She couldn't help it. If it were any ordinary person this would be hard to take in too. She turned back to Torone and waited. Eternia asked the waiter politely for a glass of water and some fresh Sprig Leaves. She smiled sweetly at him and went over to sing with the pixies in the corner--she could use a little release--while she waited. "Very well." Freya said, her voice low. She stood from her seat and started to wander around the premises. She took in all the smells, Freya was so caught up in her own little world she ran into a large Neko, one of the many races she didn't get along with. Eternia answered,"Glad to hear it," A waiter--of short stature--approached. He had reddish hair and wore a four leaf clover pinned to his jacket. Eternia knew right away--by his aura--that he was a leprecaun, and she assumed he had ditched his green atire--leprecauns tended to have a fascination with green--to blend in to human society better. "Its a new place, created for a sort of refuge for creatures who can't blend in, don't want to blend in, or wish for company from the old world." she said simply.
