Drip, drip, drip, drip... Over and over again... It's all you hear for a thousand years, the sound of your tears hitting the ocean below... The tears of a people caught, freedom within sight, but just out of reach. Their enslavement... which is not what it seems...
Vampires. They are despised by some, loved by others... but hated most by the slave... And idolized by those who throw themselves into servitude and slavery for the promise of the vampires sleek silver kiss - the Vampire's Promise, it has come to be called - but would they ever get it...? But what of the vampires? They seem so free, so powerful - like wild things.
But... they're not as free as everyone thinks... They have fallen prey to the controlling, all incompusing hierarchy that was divised by The First, a figure no one knows of. However, rebels are arising, amassing, for the freedom of the vampires from this entity that alone can attempt to control them... And at the same time, will the human slaves rise?
A modern day city has become the setting for one of the greatest wars of the centuries. Buildings must crumble, country burn... for the Tear Fall that will come from it all... War and hatred will take there toll... But what else will come? What else will suffer? What patches of fate have not been sealed? You have to find out...
