Angi walked through the crowded halls. She hated it at this school. She had seen many things she wished she hadn't already.
Kairi looked up at him and saw his hand. She had let a few tears fall down her face. She grabbed his hand and stood up. "Thanks. I never caught your name though."
"It's okay." He said and put his hand out for her. Then he noticed another guy beside them. "I'm not that kind of person." He said angrily.
Kairi looked up at him and was in a panic. "I.. I saw something that I didn't need to see in my classroom." She pointed towards the door. "I tried to find a girl's room but I couldn't find it." She looked down. "Now I feel stupid. I acted tough. I am tough but this is too much. My last school was much better. I hate having to m ve and live with my mom but my dad is in jail and then here I am." She looked up at him and into his eyes.
Kyle was just about to walk into his classroom when he saw Kairi. He walked over to her and knelt down. "Kairi what's wrong with you? Is everything...okay?" He asked. He knew it was a stupid question and that nothing was okay.
Kairi nodded at Kyle and walked away from the other boy and out into the hall. She walked down the hall and walked into her room she saw something and walked out. She looked around the hall way and couldn't find the girl's room. Now she was scared. She dropped her books and sat on the ground alone as everyone passed her.
"Good luck Kairi." Kyle said before he went to his locker to get the books for his next class. He hoped she wouldn't end up like every other girl there.
Kairi looked up at the mysterious boy. "Hi." She looked back down and grabbed her things. She stood up and looked at him. "I'm Kairi but I have to get going soon. I have to get to class."
Kairi shrugged and looked at him. He was cute but he wouldn't even look at her really. She thought he was tough but just had an outer shell, a very hard shell that you'd have to break through. She wanted to be that girl but she wasn't like the other girls.
"I see how it is." He said blankly. He looked at the clock. The bell would ring any second. He gathered his stuff and stood from his desk.
Kairi nodded and looked down some. "I see. Well.." She shrugged. "Whatever. I'm not tempted under peer pressure. Plus I don't do drugs. I do have a poison. I do drink sometimes." She shrugged. She had been to parties at her old school with her old friends but never actually told her mom. She looked at him and smiled. "I can handle myself. Plus I don't think you could handle me. No guy ever has." She giggled some. "Not saying I wanna be with you but you look tough just not tough enough. Sorry."
Epolis snuck into class, he smelled heavily of cigars. He heard the teacher speak to him but didn't reply, he just slumped in his chair. His amber eyes scaned the room, he saw Kyle and Kairi talking. Epolis wondered what they were talking about and he strained to hear them while seemingly listening to the teacher.
"Fine." He said. "I'll tell you everything. Everybody is always late to class becuase they're getting high in the hallway. Some kids get good grades because they hooked up with the teacher after school. If you don't watch where you go you might just find a couple of people having sex in a classroom. And last year this kid went phsyco and killed two people and is he still here? Yes." He said, "I hope a tough girl like you can handle it."
Kairi shrugged. "I've dealt with much worse. I know what tough is. I am tough. I'm pretty and tough. Just tell me already or I'll keep wondering. I wanna know." She nodded and looked at him.
