The Glass Castle

Settings & Atmosphere

Ishall, the city of thieves as it's been called by those who live there and the harshest city in all of Eldiena. A large city with no walls or gates. The entire city is open to the rest of the world. In a city like Ishall, walls and gates are useless. The people that want to get it will get in no matter what. There are no guards within this city forgotten by the kingdom. Here, law means nothing. The king has turned a blind eye to the workings of the city and thus, only the thieves code exists there. The building are all made of clay, save for a few stone buildings. There are a few honest merchants within the city, but it's safe to say that if you're buying something from a merchant it was more than likely stolen in the first place. Thievery is a lesson quickly learned for survival. That or learning to protect yourself from those who would otherwise steal from you. The city is harsh and takes strength and skill to live in, and yet so many come to the city looking for opportunities.

Details

The land of Eldiena holds many races, so anything is allowed. Dark Hart is a group of thieves, mostly human though any race can be a part of it, that is comprised mostly of younger people. You can be a member of Dark Hart, though you can be anything else you want. No god moding, killing other people, the such. I don't really care if you're literate, but it would be preferable.

Keith stood, crouched next to three others. One was the tall Trayt who had been his knife instructor the day before. Ever since Keith’s arrival, Trayt had been kind to him. Echwor was on his other side, the average height boy with brownish hair with a tint of blue. No one really knew why his hair was like that, but Keith thought it rude to ask. He had also been nice to Keith, though not at first. It wasn't until a few of the others started picking on him that he stood up for Keith. And on the far end, furthest away from Keith, was the rude and scolding Chass. He hated Keith for the potential that Drake saw in him. Chass had come to Dark Hart as a young boy just like Keith did, but Drake told him he didn't have potential at being a thief. Determined, he worked his hardest to become a thief, but that only made him more of a hateful person.

The three of them had bows in their hands with an arrow already knocked. Keith hadn't been given a bow because he was never trained with one so they thought it would only be a liability to send him into the field to use one. Trayt raised his bow and the others followed his lead. "Are you all ready?" He asked. The others all nodded in agreement.

Below the hill they had settled upon, a small caravan made it's way though a pass. It was small indeed with only two carts apart from the lead. They all looked normal with ordinary canvas covering the wagons. At the front sat a man completely covered by a tattered blue cloak. It seemed odd for a caravan driver to wear such a regal color, but the fact that it was worn and tattered drove all suspicion from the minds of the thieves. Silently, they drew back their arrows.
