Eternia quickly through on a hoodie, not bothering with her hair or make-up--which was slightly unusual for her. Her mother tossed her a pop tart to eat on the way, grabbed her car keys, and followed Eternia out to the car. Mrs. Martins was glad to see her daughter actually smiling. She didn't understand her sometimes; Eternia acted like such a rebel.

Eternia buckled her seat belt after a mini car safety lecture from her mother. The car was off.

They rushed into the hospital, talked to the desk lady, and were asked to wait in the waiting room. Eternia grabbed a magazine. She hated hospitals.

Eternia woke to her mother yelling up the stairs. She blinked twice, and looked at the clock groggily. It was only 8:00. Why was she waking her up now? She didn't have school did she? It was definintly summer. Wasn't it. She rolled out of bed, rubbed her eyes, yawned, and stretched. More awake now, she said,"Yeah its definintly summer."

"Eternia!!!" yelled her mother, her footsteps pounding up the steps. She sounded excited. Surprise shopping trip. 'God, I hope not,' she thought.

"What Mom?" she asked as her mother threw open the door a silly grin on her face.

"Great news," her mother replied, waving the phone around,"Your friend, whats-her-name, Destiny is awake!"

"What?" Eternia exclaims leaping up. No way! The doctors were all ready to give up!
