"Indeed... she takes her assignments very seriously, that is one aspect of her that is admirable."
"Fine, p;ease use it." She glanced at the vampire behind her, "You will go with her or stay?"
"Not at all your majesty..." Lareth said calmly. "My daughter was just volunteering her excelent skills of tracking to assist you in your search..." He glared at Dominique. "In any way."
Kimi shifted back and with an royal air strode into the room, "Am I interupting?"
"Hold your tongue bitch!" Lareth spat. "You will learn your place as my daughter and as my subordinate. The only time you have the right to speak against me is when you have my heart in your hand!"
"Because it concerns the fate of us all," she replied sharply. "Do not think that no one cares for your ideals... reguardless of whether or not we share the same. You are our heir, thus you decide the rise or fall of your people. I just wonder if you will be the rise or fall..."
"When the world spits on my dead and decayed corpse..." Lareth said with a scowl.
"Long enough to know that something is not right about this whole thing..." Dominique said, falling from the ceiling.
Lareth shook his head slowly and smiled.
Traegor thought over those words for a moment and nodded.
"Do you believe we Lycans are so without honor? Here I am at your doorstep after centuries of conflict between our races, and you, having barely finished your first few decades are questioning my intentions? It seems like you have much to learn, young captain... yet there are so few of your kind that live even a half of the time we do, even though they have all those superstiotions and rumors of nine lives. I hardly see any use for more than one. I have lived through five mistresses, three of which have been taken by the wars that have plagued our two races, and have never sired even one heir. Yet your queen, in her few years has already sired a strong and confident daughter whom I believe will be the turning point of your kingdom. thus I have no reason to trust you or even appreciate your kind for who they are. They are those that resent our very existance because we are their rivals in everything. but I do not believe we have to be enemies. you have lived through hell young captain. But do tell me... how many loved ones have you lost? How many have you seen mercilessly butchered before your very eyes and you were helpless to do anything? How many were you able to save? I envy you, I envy your entire race. for i have lived your lives several times over. Have suffered several times more, and here I stand seeking friendship with you. I have placed my weapons on the ground before you... I have laid bare my self before you and leave myself vulnerable. Yet I am not to be trusted. How much must I do to prove to you that I am not your enemy?"
Lareth sighed and shook his head as the cook went unconscious.
