Zach put the chips down. "Sorry, I was *Gulp* Hungry." He looked at her, she had giant bags under her eyes. "I'm so sorry." He said. He hoped she'd understand. Tree bark barely filled his stomach, and this was a feast to him.

Nikki rubbed her eyes and sat up She heard some noise outside her room. She opened her bedroom door and slowly looked out into the living room "hm...oh hi..," she said sounding kind of relived that it was zach and not someone who broke in her apartment.

Zach woke up in the middle of the night. "I hope she doesn't mind." Zach said as he got up and went to the cupboard. He didn't want to wake her up. He rummaged through the cabinets and found some chips. He went back to the couch and began to crunch on them.

They were salty and flavorful.
