Lexi had gone home, and fell asleep on the couch after putting Calista in her crib. She opened her eyes, seeing a once again empty house. Lexi sighed. Where is everyone? She thought, yawning some as she sat up.

She nodded and actually wondered how old he was as she buckled Calista in her seatbelt and got into the passenger seat. He should be around Reina's age... right? Lexi thought, glancing at him for a moment, then back down in her lap, rubbing her wrists where the cuts were, and she bit her lip.
Ryu nodded as they got to the car, then opened up his driver side door. "Alright, that sounds fine." He said, then slid into the car and started it up before putting on his seatbelt. "I wonder what she wants to do. " He thought, closing his car door as he waited for Lexi to get in. "She's four years younger than me.. I wonder if we look weird being around together.. " He thought, almost ashamed that he was hanging around with Reina's younger sister. "I wonder how Rei is doing anyways.. since..I fucked up. " He thought, listening to the radio as he lost himself in thought.
She bit her lip, not sure where they could go. I mean, if we went to the mall... well, he doesn't seem like a mall person. Lexi thought, wondering where they could go. She looked down at Calista. If she was older, she'd be asking to go everywhere.. She thought again, smiling, almost chuckling at the thought. "Well, I'm not sure... we could, drive around and see what's around?" Lexi suggested.
Ryu lit up when Lexi agreed to go somewhere with him, a smile forming on his face. When he realized that he was smiling a little too big than he prefered to smile, Ryu restricted his smile to a closed mouth warm smile. "Great." He said, calmly. He then began walking towards the door with Lexi and Calista, heading towards the car outside. "We could.." He paused, thinking. "We can do whatever you would like." He said, glancing over at Lexi as they left the restaurant, thank you's being yelled at towards Ryu as they left. "Shopping?" He asked, shrugging afterwards.
She bit her lip, and then sighed softly. "I-I guess we can go somewhere..." Lexi decided softly. "Do you have any ideas?" She asked, tilting her head, trying to think of where they could go now. Lexi looked down at Calista, and ran a hand through her hair, thoughts almost coming to her mind, but she pushed them out instantly, trying to tell herself she could do this. I can take care of her.. Lexi told herself, then snapped back into reality and looked at Ryu, wondering if he had said something or not.
Ryu watched Lexi for a moment, slightly disappointed that she hadn't said that she wanted to go shopping or something else random that involved him spending money on her. Ryu sighed, deciding to let it go. "I'm too desprate. " He told himself, knowing that he only wanted to spend time with her because he wanted to be around at least someone, instead of alone like he usually was. "Alright." He said, then stood up from his chair and pushed it in. "I guess.." He paused, thinking. "I'll take you back home then." He said, shrugging as he reached in his pocket and slid out his keys. "We could go somewhere else if you want, though, you know." He said, finding himself still trying to prompt her to go out and do something, anything, with him. Ryu glanced at a clock on the wall; 2pm. "School is almost out." He said, then looked back at Lexi.
She finished as well and pushed the palte away. Lexi smiled and shook her head. "No, I'm fine. Plus, you've done quite a bit for me today." She answered, shrugging some, then looked at Calista, biting her lip, trying not to let the doubtful thoughts come to her mind.
~Time skip about 20 minutes~
Lexi nodded and smiled, as Ryu broke the small silence. She took a bite of the grilled cheese, making sure no crumbs fell onto Calista. Lexi nodded and smiled. "It's really good." She said approvingly, then swallowed and took a sip of her drink.
Ryu finally ordered them both their lunch, then watched as the waiter walked away, looking rather shooken up. Ryu looked back at Lexi, then Calista, then back at Lexi. "Maybe I can try doing more good things like this. " He thought, wondering if that would make him feel any better about himself, ever. Ryu use to be rather full of himself, thinking he was 'the shit', as some kids put it. Ryu almost sighed at himself, but surpressed it back as he tried to stay in reality. Soon enough, the waiter came back with Lexi and Ryu's food. "Thanks." He said as the waiter put his plate down. The waiter nodded, gave a faint smile, then walked back into the kitchen. Ryu grabbed him grilled cheese and took a bite. After swallowing, Ryu looked up at Lexi. "Tell me if you like it." He said, then took another bite, waiting for Lexi to try it.
She nodded and smiled, walking back to the seat, kissing Calista's head softly as she sat down at their seat, happy she hadn't been hurt. Lexi looked around as everyone sat back down at their seats like nothing had happened at all.
Ryu looked over at Lexi as she approached him, people beginning to flock away from Ryu now and back to their present seats in the diner, trying to act like everything was perfectly fine. "Oh uhm.." He wasn't exactly sure what to say. He didn't really believe that he deserved any kind of praise from anyone, but he didn't want to tell anyone that. Of course, with all this praising, his ego was getting bigger and bigger, like it had been before. "It was nothing." He said, waving it off like it really was nothing. "Lets go eat now." He paused, giving Lexi a slightly cocky, yet faint smile. "Without any interruptions this time." He said, then lead them all back to the table they had been seated at.
Kikumaru woke up as his hand starts to hurt again. Looking over the painful part, his bleeding wrist still dripping blood slowly. Patting the wound, he pull down his sleeves and headed to the kitchen for some food. "Perhaps a walk outside later."
She smiled at Ryu as the cops took the man away. Lexi was actually happy no one got hurt in a situation for once. She slowly got up with Calista in her arms and walked toward Ryu as she still smiled faintly. "Wow.. you actually stopped him." Lexi told him softly.
As people came from their cowering positions, they approached Ryu with praise and admirations. "Thank you so much!" One women told him. "You're a saint." Another man said. "You've saved us all." Another women said, yet another women agreeing with her, "You're a hero." Ryu watched them all carefully, breathing rather uneasily at the moment. "No.. I'm really not a hero.." He mummered, his voice soft. He frowned a bit, not sure if he wanted to take their praise or not. "How can I ever repay you?" The owner of the store asked Ryu as he approached him. Ryu shook his head, "No need to." He said, raising his hands now as he backed away a bit. "I'm just... here for lunch." He said, glancing back at Lexi and Calista. Someone had apparently called the police, because now, cops burst into the room and began examining the situation, taking away the man who had been knocked out cold from Ryu. A few cops thanked Ryu, but Ryu only shook his head and said it was nothing. "I only let my anger take over again. That's all. Only this time it actually turned out good. " He thought, his chest feeling a bit heavy.
