Firstly, thanks for on Coltrane nights...
It was really just a thought... I had this picture of the universe riding a schwinn bike... it is kind of the bike one rides down the shore (laid back surfer kinda ride) throwing jasmine around, or the scent of. Kinda about music, and a guy with blue eyes and meeting in the middle of sorta thing. (I am a strange bird..). When I read your poem, I didn't think reservation (only because I don't know AZ very well), but in my mind I saw dust and poverty and a just trying to make it kinda feeling. Like a Dorothea Lang kinda photo all black and white. I will read again and let you know... Hey, thanks for the thanks... I will be back. |

Well, where I'm from, there are glow-worms in certain caves... Google Waitomo Caves or something... it's a tourist-trap attraction, so I suppose it fits in that way.
As for the rest, yea, peasants were blinded by the awesomeness of cathedrals in relation to their dirt-poor slave-existence. I would've been back in the day lol. Thanks for your time... appreciated what it made you think... ![]() |

Well, aren't you an awesome, perceptive, "bright, promising, well-rounded" young lady?! LOL! Last week, on my way in to work, I drove by an old general store in the center of West nowhere. Sitting inside in a corner, right in front of the large store front window, was this elderly man with his minimal white hair, his bi-focals and his newspaper...just completely lost in thought. He just looked like he had been there, doing that for decades...even centuries. That "picture" was engraved in my mind for the next several days...until I completed the Five and Dime Man write, and got the inspiration down on paper and out of my face!
Sometimes I wonder, Danielle...if people are actually reading what I write...and getting "it." You have closely pin-pointed what I was thinking when I saw that man...I might almost suspect that you were there sharing the moment with me! Big, big thanks for commenting. I am sure that you are aware of how much commenting means to someone! Hoping you find peace and happiness with this life! It's not so bad...even the rough spots...it's all in what YOU make of it. Also, hoping you are able to sort through the muck and mire...and you can find the real God who doesn't f**k with us...there can only be One who is True. Smiles... Kimmy |
