I write poetry base on my experiences in life and its difficult to satisfy all the readers here. Hi Nicki! Thanks for coming by! You did right for a short story. My comments about more detail were meant about writing novels, if that is ever your desire. And, it was just meant to indicate that, in the written word, you have to be aware that the other senses are deprived (smell, sounds, postures, mood, etc.) and if they are important to the story, you have to "write them in". You have great talent at story writing!

Nicki, your comments were absolutely wonderful on "Stairway To The Stars", and thank you for taking the time and trouble to find it and read it! Life has a way of repaying us for the troubles that we have been through, and the more pain and suffering we've had to endure, the greater character we attain. Character is forged in fire, and it takes hardship to build it. But, amazingly, the more we have had to suffer, the greater is our capacity for empathy and compassion for the suffering of others! Good character is instantly sensed by all, and you are paid dividends in the respect and understanding you get eternally after!
