Thank you also for the favorites addition of "Old Paintings and Pinings," I really appreciate the beautiful comment you left and you taking time to read my work.
Firstly, I greatly appreciate your open-minded read of "Following the Star" and not writing it off with the first read. It was not a slam on Christ, no. It was more aligned to what you said. I just don't have the Christmas Cheer this year. I don't feel like manger scenes or celebrating the birth of a sacrificial baby. It's sad, first and foremost. It's macabre secondly. When I overthink it, it makes me very disappointed in God.
Thanks a ton for the comment on Justice, I really appreciate that you liked it. The reason the metre changes throughout the entire poem is because it was written as a rap to music and not as a poem. I don't know if you noticed but I use the word "just" in about every line in the poem, and then end with the conclusion about justice... A lot of people overlook it though... I'm not sure how to make it more obvious however. What do you think?
