-------------------------------------------Mood: In Love
Tamara fell in love with that boy and now her parents want to take her away from everything she has. Her life was coming to an end. The day started completely fine until she heard her mom.
“Honey I think we should move, you know Tamara is becoming troubled and she needs a new place to live.”
Tears ran down her face when those words came out. Whiles she cries, she reaches for her phone and texts her boyfriend. She asks him what would happen if she was to move. Sitting, a horrible state of shock, and her head in her hands she waits for the phone to vibrate. Finally the phone vibrate, slowly she grabs it and reads the message. Her heart falls down into her gut when she reads that he would be sad but they would have to break up. She’s angry and wants to cry but no tears will come out. Numbness is no relief from agony. She's just left to sit, to contemplate what she will do.
As Tamara thinks about all the fun times her and Shaun had together, she collects photos of herself and Shaun. She holds them to her heart and says,
“I love you to much to let you go so easy, promise we would last forever wait scratch that till death do us apart.” Tamara didn’t realize she was talking to a photo, all that matters was her feeling were deep for Shaun and never fade away. She didn’t want to break up with Shaun; she loved him to much that she would never let him go. Tamara realized that her true love was going to be her one and only love. She texted Shaun and waited for a long time, no reply. She tried to call but it went straight to voicemail. She called his house no one answered either.
She wanted to cry but she just couldn’t. She walked out the house with her parents behind her yelling at her. They kept telling her to get back in the house or she was grounded. As mad as she already was at them she went back in. grabbing a bag and filling it full of clothes. Again she ran out the house
“Get back in this house young lady, or you will regret it for the rest of your life.”
“No you will regret it for the rest of your life,” she yelled back “I’m not coming back and it’s your fault, you have made me the person I am. I didn’t change; you changed me telling me what I can and can’t do all of a sudden. At first you people didn’t even care what I did or where I went. What changed all of that, oh yea don’t remind me I remember. It was when Kaeley got pregnant and then died wasn’t it. Well im not Kaeley, I am waiting until I get married and no guy is going to take it from me until them. Im not Kaeley I am not going to go get shot at because im trying to save my boyfriend for a drug deal gone bad. I’m not Kaeley so stay off my back. I’m not Kaeley but right now im going to be her and walk away just like she did.”
Tears ran down her face as she took off down the street. She didn’t want to look back she hated her parents everything was her fault. She remembered when everything was perfectly fine. When her parents loved her and her sister equally. She remembered when they would all sit down and play games or go for a walk through the park. Her parents used to be fun and loving. Then Kaeley had to fall for Erik, get pregnant, get killed. More tears ran as she thought of Kaeley, she remembered when all that was happening and all she could do was sit back and watch. Watch her parents turn from being nice to being mean as could be. She needed Shaun so she called him again, and again it went straight to voicemail.
Leaving a message telling him she needed him, she made it to his front door. The car wasn’t in the driveway, the lights were off. Everything seemed quiet, way to quiet. She goes around to the back and finds his window open. She knows this means he’s home. Looking in the window she doesn’t see him. She climbs in and everything remains quiet. Walking around the house everything is quite. She gets to the kitchen and there is a note for his father: “Went out to find Shaun, he hasn’t come home in a day. Call me if you hear from him”
She dropped to the ground, her heart beating a mile a minute. She couldn’t walk so she crawled to his room. Lying down in his bed trying to be close to him one last time. She wraps up tight in a blanket that will not get her warm, rumpled and sore and with glazed eyes. Putting her head down on the pillow she hears a sound. She doesn’t want to get up, she can’t. She hears the door open and footsteps coming down the hall. She wants it to be Shaun but she can only wish. Slowly she closes her eyes, then she feels the bed sag as someone get in next to her. Opening her eyes as little as she could she see it is really Shaun! He reaches over, pulls her close to him and whispers “I love you forever and always nothing will change that.” They smile at each other and fell asleep. She knows he’s hers forever and nothing else matters everything is fine now.
