    Journal: long story
    -------------------------------------------
    Mood: doubtful

My last few posts are the beginning of a story that has reached about the length of a novel before I wisely strangled it to an end; but I have no idea whether anybody except a few kids would fing it entertaining and I am being a bit slow about posting its successive chapters. Any comments, I really want to know what folk think of the actual storytelling style, and also the idea of writing a bit of fantastical history, straightforwardly, instead of with dramatic unity and a tight curly plot? It's fun to write but I suppose unpublishable - which does not necessarily mean unreadable - and that's the atmosphere of trepidation in which I'm posting some of the chapters. Got one nice comment so far, thank you!

Hi there! Thank you so much for your comments on "As If To Say..." and "Mistress Maven". As for Mistress Maven...I knew her: once upon a nightmare, if memory serves me correct (I do try to forget, you see). "As If To Say..." is sort of the antidote to "Mistress Maven". While the object of the poem is springtime (obviously), the ending is clearly the "hope" of finding that which is always so close, but so far out of reach.

Again, thank you for the comments!

    K

Nice to know you're back. And thanks for the hello.

I agree with your thoughts. I've been looking back at decades. Ha!

Getting older myself. Another year to add on this month. Though i've settled into calling myself the soon to be new age. Oi!!!

I figure, when I do what I am supposed to do (whatever that purpose may be),then I'll be done with it.

Until then.... I am gonna do the best I can with what I've got. Yesiree Bob, I am.

    Welcome back kind Sir.

Good to hear from you, Glen!

Youre right...I had forgotten my comment on your nose haiku. Good thing you left your poem posted here; I enjoyed reading it again. And Ill stick with my comment that the equation of snot and hate is an apt one. Rather creative on your part, too!

Take care, Glen. I hope your confuter cooperates and youre able to visit here whenever you like.

    Glen

Glad to have caused you some wanton daydreams my man. We occasionally get waterspouts off California but they're rare. They're an amazing and potentially devastating reminder of the awesome beauty of nature.
