Well, with all due respect, I read your poem tens of times before commenting on it. I think I made a valid interpretation (especially in this post-New criticism era), because I don't think the poem shows the kind of awareness of itself necessary for an ironic tone. If it is too subtle for me, "of all people" to catch the doubled use of a cliché, how would anybody else stand a chance?
Also, as I said, the poem struck a nerve (in me). Frankly, I found it insulting. Of course it is perfectly fine to insult, and I spoke my piece in reply. Nor do I like, hold the work against you personally. I would hope you wouldn't restrain yourself from a chaotic rant on one of my texts, if you felt the need to do so.

You're going to get engaged ? That's so great to hear. I'm incredibly happy for you. I understand leaving people can be tough, but I'm quite sure temporary distance can only make a relationship stronger. I recently had to say goodbye to a really great friend of mine, but I guess we have to live with the hope that we'll see each other again as soon as possible.
