Heya. I talked to Syan a few days ago, just trying to make sure you're alive, and sane. I got married.
Anyway, actually write me back please. I miss you guys.
I watched a movie about Virginia Woolfe's life and this just came to mind which I think fit perfectly with what I had seen.
The music matched the mood of the movie and I think it was really well thought out. It had Maryl Streep and Tom Cruise's ex wife, I can't think of the name right now but I can picture her face in my mind which is driving me mad.
I try and write with feeling to the subject to the best of my knowledge.
Yeah I wrote the lines so that instead of having a comma at the end of each one, there is a natural break when the line ends.
Thanks for your comments on my poem No Excuses. You suggested that somehow I'd become distracted when I got to the last line and either didn't finish it or didn't write it corrctly. However, I think it fits perfectly if you look at it a bit differently (perhaps with your head cocked, one eye closed and your tongue at a precise 30 degree angle - joking).
In the first verse, I mention that age sort of slams into you and there is still so much undone.
Then, in the second stanza, I say, basically, that time flies on by and your dreams fly away with it unless you grab at them - then, take the impatience you had as a youth and the wisdom you now have with age and get 'er done! ("At last take the helm") It's more of an exhortation to "quit wasting time and do the things you want to do. You're not getting any younger, you know."
When you look at it that way it fits perfectly. See? (You may remove your tongue now and open your eye) mae
