The Universe is not cruel nor is it a random thing... It simply strives to teach each and everyone of us the same lessons. Where we wind up in life is not from some odd game of universal russian roulette to determ our fate. It is all born out of action and inaction. The Universe gives us all the ability to deal with that which is set before us, wheather we choose to acknowledge that or not.

I am no Pawn, and you are no Queen. The only person I am better than is the man I was yesterday, and with luck that will always be true.

hey thanks for the comment. writing is always an exploration of how im feeling... you know... if im intensely emotional the words happen.. ive never been able to find them under normal circumstances haha!

but i am back with the boy whose eyes are only for me. married him and working out how to combine our cultures to make our life together work. its fascinating. but i am sure it will work wonderfully

i miss you. really. its nice to have you back

I read your piece " The things you should/nt know " and I find it a totally adequate answer to my query . Ah sweet Galadriel . I can't say I've ever had the joy of meeting my muse ( that's right by your definition I guess I too have a muse ) but I have written her a few poems , Dream and Echo are two I've posted . Contrarily , for me , the poems where I have a real good idea what I want to say before I write them are the ones I like the best of mine . I sometimes go as far as to concoct a tentative outline . Strange huh ? Thanks for the time .

i had not and have not written for long spells as well, and have packed in a fair bit of living and the associated drama since then too.

i am sorry it has to be that way, but i imagine there's stuff we gain along the way too.

    in any case, hola.

it's very nice to see you back and to know you've picked up a pen again.

    take care john.

    thanks for the comment mate.

i never got a response like that to the start of the poem, and i don't think that's a bad thing at all, good to know really.

i'm hoping that i can place each poem in a book so that it sort of makes sense once i've filled in the gaps, though each poem should stand alone.

it's about enjoying the moment for what it is rather than writing about how joyous it is, there's a difference there when one thing takes a lot of time away from the other.

i guess i am saying that it's important to me to live in that moment if i get the chance again, because i'm sure most people know that they don't come around often.

and yeah, the rest of the poem is meant to be about fly fishing, in a metaphoric sort of way.

    the dragonfly is the cast,
the cricket' life is the reel
and the evening is the fish,

the evening also signifying for me that the guy is content, because he lets each day go because of what tomorrow promises.

so yeah, it's meant to be like that, and i understand that's a lot to hope for, but i'm happy that the words direct the reader somewhere thataways.

nice to see you on my page, been a long time since we both rolled up here.

    hope things are going well.
