Just logged in after 8 years or so. Your journal post sums it up. Are you writing anywhere else? I'd like to keep following your work.

Hey! Thanks for commenting on my work. I am glad you enjoyed the tune, haha.
To be honest, I've been trying to practice getting back into the writing game. That song struck me as monotonous and repetitive, so nothing new was coming to me, and I couldn't help but want to end that poem as much as I wanted to end that song? Nothing wrong with the tune, I just couldn't resonate with it for more than a couple of minutes, ya know? I dunno. Perhaps my attention span is shot to pieces. Ah well. Hope all is well with you, and once again, many thanks!!! -Esha |

hey there!
i literally just listed your page yesterday and read your status. It does feel like 2007 again. I guess we are the progenitors of that and I guess we need to keep the fires burning. I look forward to reading your work again. Give me a couple days and maybe we can start this group back up. JP |

Thanks for your thoughts on Technical Writing. In response to your question, no, I didn't mean it rhetorically. The point I was alluding to is that a technical piece invariably has something that much (though not by any means all) poetry lacks: Purpose. And not just any purpose, but typically a purpose much grander than the scope of the piece itself. Whether in support of landing a man on the moon, or probing the depths of the ocean, or the human genome, or just administering an organization of 10,000 people. No single person can accomplish these things alone. Technical writing is the glue that allows such grand projects to cohere. It connects the Why to the What to the many layers of How.
