    sinthia...

    thank you for your kind comments on 1957...yes, i long for the old days...actually 2010 was written in parody...hours after i wrote 1957..i thought .."what would this same poem sound like today?"

    with all the texting, emailing etc...ugh..not a big fan of cell phones...hate them actually...

    so yes, they are companion pieces...and i am glad you like the first one better...:)

    thank you for stopping by and perusing my work...

    much appreciated.

    I realy liked this. You asked for thoughts and my thought is that you write really well. I got a real good sense of your grandpas character, personality and even though you never described what he looked like I have a picture of what I think he looks like in my head. And to me means you wrote this well. I am a big fan of prose too. Just something about a chunk of writing that just reads as if I'm sitting perched on a window sill of your mind with this amazing view of your thoughts, your feelings, you heart.
    Thanks for writing and posting. I'm going through grief too and this was, as strange as it may sound, refreshing because I know out there that someones feeling the same things I am.
    Nice work.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Thank you. Not many people tell me that. Though it's not my first goal with the piece, it's something I've tried to achieve in my writing. Little detail, but then at the same time, every detail.
    In all honesty, it seems like something inside me came out, then hid itself away again. I mean to say that, because I normally can't write like that. Just the imagery and pain from remembering him... Exploded. And I relived every moment of it. It's alien to me. But I wrote it. Lol Strange?
    Thanks again for commenting. :) Your thoughts were greatly appreciated. I wish you well, and hope that better times come your way and you may find peace in whatever is getting you down.
    -Kit.
