chords
like strands
and each chord represented a different affection
and these chords of affections were being pulled
in different directions
straining my heart.
affection of wanting to be wanted...
affection of materialism...
affections of wanting a mate... etc.
then i prayed
Lord... the chords of affections are scattered
gather them and rein them onto your cross
and he bundled them for me... and gently (not pulling) then rested them on the beam of the cross
no more strain
just laying in surrender
laying organized and still
peaceful, focused
i need to get my heart like that
that was a trippy vision
