Well, I'm actually surprised this place still exists. If you look on my profile you will see I first posted here 12 years ago lol. The place was much different back then, bursting with life and awesome poetry. I almost forgot it exists as years ago it started to get kinda dead. I'm glad I checked in though as I found your poems which I like a lot. When I was saying my style is darker than yours I was thinking about my older poems, the first ones I posted here. Like this one http://www.eliteskills.com/z/11879 I don't know if you'll like it as the imagery is very dark but that's the way I wrote back then: dark and brutal. Now looking at the last poems on my page I see my style changed, I see more light in them. Maybe I was getting softer as I was getting older? haha I'll try to write some new stuff now, I'm curious how my style would be today.
:) well inspire all and keep writing :). Even if it feels insignificant and unseen , it's not. It takes one person to appreciate to change a heart and that will continue to perpetuate others hearts. Perpetuate communication and a brethren emerges :).
I'm not so sure that I agree on the arabic letters. It would take away from it completely. Even render it useless and meaningless to me and whoever were to look at it. Instead, I see more of a wing of a butterfly half black and white and the other half vibrant bursting with spectrum colors. The cobwebs making the inner part of the wing creating the lines. Maybe an old fashion fountain pen bleeding where. Also, a sparrow to recognize the bird singing. Idk, this creates a rabbit hole of ideas that can be very fun to bring to life with art! Although I know that to each their own, when it comes to reading others works and what you wrote the piece for. How it is interpreted can lead down a very different road from where it was intended. But, thank you for sharing the write as you can tell my imagination took flight with it!
Jezi, I'll have to get back by here to read some of your poems with no comments. (It may be next week) Shadow Writer is actually another poet friend from another write who writes some of the best Dark macabre poetry I've read only to be equalled by his sensually metaphoric poems.
Thanks for reviewing and I hope all is well with you!
