Journal: -------------------------------------------Mood: The Usual    things are going famously here in Addis Abeba, Ethiopia. i am teaching children in an after school thingee and they are so adorable! i want to take them all home with me haha. the challenge is finding a way of accomodating the huge range in english skills... 6yr olds know a little less than 13 yr olds lol. i also started helping at a soup kitchen kind of thing where we serve 700 homeless men lunch. it is heartbreaking and i cried the first night every time i thought about the magnitude of the situation spending time with my friends has been awesome. i know that leaving in a months time is going to suck and i will be an absolute mess by the time i get back to New Zealand but i guess thats how it goes.. hope all is well with you and yours x ...Created 2009-11-04 04:44:25     [ View Past Journals ] [ View as Blog ]

I cry too whenever I hear it because I can't play as well as Jimmy Page and it's not fair. Granted, he probably practiced a lot more than I do, but that's beside the point. By the way, it's really embarrassing when this happens at work.

I hope you're having fun???? You haven't run out of cola yet, have you? I am getting antsy, bored... I'm starting to feel my fangs growing for the winter or something. I feel like burning down a barn or something... preferably, something. Of course, this all could be due to that 1/5 of Beam I bought yesterday, that has been so very good to me today... I even did some bulb thinning/replanting. It's amazing what a little whiskey can do on a nice warm day... What do they drink there? Oh please, tell me they DO drink. Imagine being Ethiopian and you can't even get drunk. Have you seen Sally Struthers there yet? If you do, follow her waddling ass a few yards, I'm sure she'll lead you to a bar, or a Burger Hut... I am soooooo boooooorrrrrrreeeeddddd.... oh, and this wonderful chicklet on here gave me permission to write a story on the comment she wrote, and now that I've gotten it... well, once I start I'll start, but doing a kid piece drunk on beam & coke might end badly. Do you still have your somalies in line? Have you seen the Pirate episode of South Park, when Cartman goes to Somalia and joins the pirates??? I think it's Cartman... I was kinda Towely when I saw it...
