hi welcome to es. thanks for the comments you left on my poem. i knew what i wanted to say or write in my head but somehow it didn,t quite work out on paper. but that,s why i post here, let people read my stuff and tell me what they think about it.and i accept the raspberries along with the strawberries, although they don,t taste so good.like i said thanks for the advice. take care

Don't get me wrong, it's a fine piece of writing. And I only noticed the meter because I was trying to figure out why you threw in 'boy.' Because of that, I think you could just flat out get rid of it without anybody noticing the meter's off for that one line.
