I have an advanced fiction writing class this semester and have joined the volunteers for the fiction mag, so hopefully I will be able to develop as a writer through these facets.
I was thrilled to find that you had come by the site, and had left a comment on "Where Angels Fear To Tread". Thank you, pretty lady, and I hope all is good with you!
So quiet is the lonely breeze
And still the flora by the hill
I see you running with such ease
Determined with an iron will
My mind drifts back to long ago
When just like you, I was so young
With love and passion new to show
With song in heart, yet to be sung
Your bonnie hair, it flows so well
Carresing round your smiling face
Who could not fall beneath your spell
With beauty, splendour and such grace
As you draw near without beseech
My cup of tea seems out of reach
As I sit here on this lonely peak
With goats and sheep so much abound
So inept I am feeling and yet so meek
As they roam and amble all over the ground
My thirst and hunger are paining me
As I pen to you this quote
How I yearn a cup of tea
Bur can't contrive to milk my goat
As I gaze across my lonely peak
And call your name on wind so free
Your milking hands I surely seek
To make me such a cup of tea
Answer me if you hear my request to you
And if you come to me bring some sugar too
Butternut squash and dandelion
Spearmint leaves and mountain air
I garden deftly in the morning sun
and think of dewdrops in your hair
I sigh and gaze across my peak
And smile as I hear my name
I listen, though the sound is weak
You whisper of tea and I want the same
Lemongrass, sugar, and a bit of honey
biscuits and milk in a basket of blue
I say goodbye to my goats and bunny
As I skip along on my way to see you
As I cast my eye so far beyond
My peak that stands erect and tall
I see you hurrying with thoughts so fond
With lots of goodies, both big and small
Honey, sugar with lemongrass too
With biscuits, milk and tea to share
I also think of dewdrops new
Among your bonnie nut brown hair
Anticipation rules my mind
As my thirst for tea is now so high
How I hope that my peak, you will find
Beyond the blue, up in the sky
I await you with no goat or bunny
Welcome you with your sweetness and honey
