Thank you for your comment on my newest addition. Yes, when I had added the line' Nothing to fear' It was an indication of perhaps a tranquil feeling--like one is not afraid of the entity I used to symbolize death.
Thanks for the comment. The "sludge" refers to all those things that you tend to push out of the way when you are busy, and then it clogs up your thinking process later and you have all this stuff to worry about.
I realize the poem is a bit odd. I think I wrote it more with the intention to vent than to actually have anyone read it.

Haha, it's about a sunset though, not really feelings. But the reader gets whatever they do out of poetry, and that's good, because I do it all the time.
