It's too easy to just say things can't change or won't get any better.... call me crazy but I enjoy a day of honest hard work. It just sits better with me knowing I'm doing what I can to make an impact within my reach of this world. It's exciting to be challenged with the fact that I know I can do much better...
Hi... re: your comment... amen ! :) As I first read you comment, the bible quotes began to make me go " oh no not again " .... but... I was and am most pleasantly surprised by the things you wrote.... proof of an educated mind and soul, and all credit to your parents and family... no.. the bible is not all clap trap and nonsense, there is indeed a great many powerfully spiritual messages within it... our individual journeys to this knowledge and realization is something I believe it advocates constantly...
Thanks for your comments on "It Doesn't Hurt So Much Now."
Yes, I agree some of the lines feel forced. The first ones came to me with ease and then the rest were harder. No matter how many times I rearranged it, I couldn't make the last lines sound quite right. But I have found sometimes it has taken years to work out certain pieces. When I finally do, I often realize I needed to wait for some experience or revelation for the rest of the puzzle to fit into place.
This is something I find frustrating; especially since most poems start out as rhyming for me. To keep the rhyme going sometimes means resorting to clichés to get it done, which is not ideal!
Trying to get over a case of writers' block and write at least one poem a day.
Thanks again for taking the time to read, and I'll be sure to check out some of your work too.
Well, that's the good thing about dreams, no? They spark their own world, their own little tale, and their little ending.
Course, even nightmares are delusions, just not the kind you'd like.
And you are welcome; I also like poems like that. Where the writer takes the time to write things that make you think; not just "I'm sad, hear me out". Though, I am a victim of writing those kinds of things. >.>
One day, I shall write a masterpiece. Haha. Who doesn't say that line?
