I'm sorry, but I found your comment on "Life Cycles" kind of vague. I'd love to hear more into what you were thinking as you were reading it, what exactly you weren't "getting" and how it started making sense. I was aiming in a fairly straight-forward direction and I added a description because I didn't want it to be necessarily exoteric but more relatable. We've all lost loved ones at some point, and sometimes I feel inspired to write about such things.
And I didn't even realize you left a response on my page. Thank you, I felt being cryptic was kind of appropriate for a surreal poem. I kind of felt some spiritual undertones, though when I reread the poem, I don't see any explicit religious themes but water (especially submerging into it) and scorched land is generally very strongly religious. So I thought about the way a circle rotates... I just kind of thought about it really quick and made an observation. Sometimes my "observations" come out esoterically, for that I apologize in advance.
