    Journal: trying to quit
    -------------------------------------------
    Mood: not yet

It's not as easy as putting that pack of cigarettes down and not touching it again, it also requires putting the stress and frustration on a shelf and plowing ahead, I'm doing it one "don't need/want to smoke" at a time, some days I'm good and I have about two or three, other days I'm weak and it's four or five but it's a work in progress...

Thanks for taking the time to read my poem David and Bathsheba! The said line 'could' be misinterpreted. But bestiality is not the idea there. Shepherd is the priest or preacher, endowed ewe is the "endowed maid". No pun intended. The use of Shepherd and Ewe is necessitated because that's the way the biblical story went. Thanks again. Quoting the story here for your reference.

"The rich man had exceedingly many flocks and herds. But the poor man had nothing, except one little ewe lamb which he had bought and nourished; and it grew up together with him and with his children. It ate of his own food and drank from his own cup and lay in his bosom; and it was like a daughter to him. And a traveler came to the rich man, who refused to take from his own flock and from his own herd to prepare one for the wayfaring man who had come to him; but he took the poor man's lamb and prepared it for the man who had come to him."

Thank you for taking the time to comment twice! It is much appreciated! One of your comments said a loop-de-loop? I guess you mean the rhyme loop continuing. I have another verse I wrote the same day but, it is more in the lines of justice so I didn't really think it would fit. (well maby if i expand it...)
The other one you commented on, is actually a rewrite of something I thought Was too plainly stated. I guess, I can always look at it agian. Thanks Agian!

Bass, thank you for coming by my site, and for your comments on "The Pedestrian And The Volkswagen" and "A Promise In The Wind"!

You are welcome to share "The Pedestrian And The Volkswagen" with your buddies; it is based on an old joke which I always liked, and which I decided to put to rhyming poetry for a comedic poem!
