How do you know,
who you are,
how do you know,
who they are,
how do you know,
who they think you are,
is it the whispers in the hall,
or the way they look at you.
Are you who they think you are,
and if you are,
is it because they know the real you,
or have you become the person they want you to be.
How do you know if the you your being is the real you,
how do you know it isn't the person they want you to, be.
Do you follow their rules,
their way of acting,
their clicks,
their trends,
or the way they think you ought to be.
Do you listen to the things they say,
the rumors they drag up from the deep depths of hell,
the things they make up on the spot,
just to hurt someone.
Or do you ignore these trifle things and,
look at the bigger picture,
the one that matters,
you your life the way you live,
and most important your friends.
Are your friends the kind who understand you,
or are you just friends because their popular,
and you want to bathe in their glory.
How do you really even know,
know who you are,
who you really are inside.
