Thanks much for your comment on 'A Blind Man Does Not Cry'... appreciated, although I would like to clarify as to the nature of the poem:
The middle section is a story, a recollection of when the narrator could both 'see and hear', as a proud man. (btw, i used 'queer' only to mean 'odd').
Thusly, the man has now lost both. Of course, this is only metaphorical for his heartbreak or loss -when he feels he cannot see or hear anything good.
