Journal: Maxine Workman -------------------------------------------Mood: Melancholy R.I.P Ms. Maxine Workman!
My favorite little old lady at the nursing home. I used to give her her baths every other morning before she went to dyalasis and feed her and get her ready.
She used to calle me Elly. -small smile-
We would have a laugh at my hall partner together, Jennifer. We would talk about the CNA she hated more than anything, Carol and how she didnt know her asshole from a hole in the ground. -smirks-
Ive been on a long vacation...and before I left I told her I would see her when I got back...And that I wold give her a video and pictures of the wedding. -sighs-
Looks like I wont get to now. She has been there since I first started. She is the LAST person I thought would go in that place. She was so full of life and high spirited...but I should have guessed. It was her body, not her spirit, that grew weary.
I just wish someone had told me she was on her death bed so that I coulda went to see her one last time.
Ive only been to ONE resident's funeral since I started about 3years ago. Looks like Ive got another to go to now.
Maxine...Where ever you are, just know...I love you and will miss you GREATLY! I hope that you had a safe journey and that you are finally truly happy in mind, body and soul.
Goodbye...
