The Hacienda
The other night I had a craving for chips and salsa. So I decided Mexican it is. My boy friend and I found a place called Hacienda. It was rather busy, but the smell tempted us to stay. It was worth it.
We went in and gave our name, the host told me it would be about a thirty minute wait. So we took a seat, not more than twenty minutes later we were being seated. The hostess who seated us was very nice and apologized for our wait.
We proceeded in to the well lit dining room. As we sat down the first thing we noticed is how full the restaurant really was. Also when you see the building from the outside it looks somewhat small. Yet once your inside you realize it’s a lot bigger than it looks.
The restaurant is very bright and colorful; there are Spanish decorations all over the walls. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is very loud with loud music playing. The bar which is separate from the dining area has a TV. The seats are nice and comfortable and you’re not smacking elbows with the person next to you. I also like the fact that the restaurant celebrates all major Spanish holidays.
The food is really very good; and we enjoyed the prompt service we received. They had many appetizers to choose from, but we chose the ranch white cheese dip. Just enough of the cheese sticks to your chip, and it’s so rich and creamy.
The waitress then took our order. I ordered a fajita quesadilla. It was one of the best quesadillas I have ever had. It was full of chicken and cheese with Pico die gallo on top with a side of sour cream and guacamole. My boyfriend ordered what they call the Fry yi yi’s, which are waffle fries covered in melted cheese with ranch to dip them in.
We enjoyed our first experience so much we have already been back three times since then. The second time we went his brother went with us and he enjoyed it just as much as we did. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who likes Mexican food or is looking to try something new.
