Although I am writing daily on other sites, Elite is still my home. I love to come back and see familiar faces and meet a few new people. Some of you were kids when you first came to the site. Now you are adults making families and the tone of what is on the board has changed again.
I've enjoyed tagging along and seeing some of you spread your wings and fly.
My own writing has morphed and matured along with yours. A great deal of what I write leans to the sensual side and is not posted here because we have no filters.

If you are interested in spoken word poetry, or just a place where you can read your own, check out World Poetry Open Mic which is a live internet radio show that hosts through YouTube on Friday nights at 9:00 CMT at Http://worldpoetryopenmic.net You can also check us out on facebook if you are interested. We have poets from across the globe joining in through Skype.

I'd love to hear where you journey has taken you.

Thank you for your time in reading the recent untitled. I liked hearing your take and thought it provoked some things about each of our journey. Allowing these words to take us into layers of truth. It was greating hearing your litericle voice.

Thanks for your comment on Isaiah; I'm glad that I could reach out to someone on a personal basis.

    Jan,

Thanks for the words of encouragement. I'll definitely keep hanging in there. Sometimes I just have to get things off my chest, you know? I hope things are great for you!

I see you left me a message on my page asking me to drop you a line next time I am here. I must apologize that I didn't check in until now and your message was over a year ago!

jan i'm well. thank you for asking. i hope you are too.

and good: i want you (and all others come to that) to think.

we are but mud skippers/lungfish if we do not think, or worser still, choose not to.

my time here in the Gulf region has taught me this much (amongst other things), that it is easy to press the 'stop thinking' button and i endorse wholeheartedly any initiatives that support and promote the questioning mind - and what it comes up with!!

i live and work in a region that is by definition 'containment'. and that is what it is.

but in this regard and so far as the write's concerned, we're talking about an entirely different and more primal containment.

and that too is entirely alright.

    take it easy Tex x

We humans are meaning creating machines. We can find a meaning to anything - whether it is there or not. I forget where I heard this, but someone was saying that imagine you're at a party/any event and it is the best party/any event you've ever been at/or best experience you've ever had - are you going to stop enjoying it because you know it's going to end? Or are you going to make the most of it?
