Although I am writing daily on other sites, Elite is still my home. I love to come back and see familiar faces and meet a few new people. Some of you were kids when you first came to the site. Now you are adults making families and the tone of what is on the board has changed again.
I've enjoyed tagging along and seeing some of you spread your wings and fly.
My own writing has morphed and matured along with yours. A great deal of what I write leans to the sensual side and is not posted here because we have no filters.
If you are interested in spoken word poetry, or just a place where you can read your own, check out World Poetry Open Mic which is a live internet radio show that hosts through YouTube on Friday nights at 9:00 CMT at Http://worldpoetryopenmic.net You can also check us out on facebook if you are interested. We have poets from across the globe joining in through Skype.
it was good to see you on my page and yes, with summer coming, you most certainly should write again.
we all should - but it's so often a question of time isn't it?
i trust that you are well.
Thank you for your time in reading the recent untitled. I liked hearing your take and thought it provoked some things about each of our journey. Allowing these words to take us into layers of truth. It was greating hearing your litericle voice.
jan i'm well. thank you for asking. i hope you are too.
and good: i want you (and all others come to that) to think.
we are but mud skippers/lungfish if we do not think, or worser still, choose not to.
my time here in the Gulf region has taught me this much (amongst other things), that it is easy to press the 'stop thinking' button and i endorse wholeheartedly any initiatives that support and promote the questioning mind - and what it comes up with!!
i live and work in a region that is by definition 'containment'. and that is what it is.
but in this regard and so far as the write's concerned, we're talking about an entirely different and more primal containment.
