Thanks for your comments on my poems, "Genius" and "Control". I hope I didn't come across as judgemental. I wanted to give the impression of the punishment being self-inflicted- not the narrator's judgement. "Genius" is straight from my fourteen year old son - conversation lifted from his nightly gripe session.
