Happy Easter in the way you believe. This is the only forum in which I find it pure to express for the sake of the writing and the pathetic, human condition. Things are contrite this time of my life, but I will because I'm just in eye this. I've poured into my music writing and arrangement so it's now really up to me to make this my account of how I see it. How glad I am that elite skills is still a place of refuge from the over-exposure of Facebook. Perhaps, here other writers can share their pains and joys through this art of the word....

Oh I forgot. I'm also a big fan of Kobayashi Issa and Basho too! :)

Well my absolute favorite poet is Nichita Stanescu but English translations don't do him justice so you probably never heard of him. Second would be Baudelaire, you can find better translations of his work, it's ten times better in french though. Now for English speaking poets I really like T.S. Eliot. I consider him to be still underrated no matter how much recognition he got thus far. I also quite like most W.B. Yeats poems. Another one would be Ezra Pound. Yeah I think this is my top 5.

I disagree with this view too. As human beings we should always strive for perfection and poetry should be a reflection of that. If you study great poets you'll see that they all agree. They tried to put the best part of them in their poems and not use poetry like a vent. Something that I see too often on this site. I mean, like a reader, I got my own share of problems and imperfections, I read poetry to escape from them, not to absorb yours. Also it's rules that define poetry, otherwise there wouldn't be any way to tell it apart from let's say an article in a magazine. In the old days it was rhyme, nowadays it's the format we choose. Anyway, my original comment was referring to the fact that it was impossible for me to read that poem. Only like a quarter of it was on the screen and it was impossible to scroll and read the rest. And I have a 24" 1080p screen. So I don't know how anybody could read it other than copying it and pasting it somewhere... I hope I haven't offended you or anything. That is my honest opinion and I try to be only honest in everything I write on this site...

A poetry's form should never be an accident. That's my view at least, I'm an aesthete and take great care in using the right format for the right content. That's the essence of poetry, I think, it's format and phrasing that separates it from prose for example. Anyway, keep writing! You'll get there...
