Your first impression of the piece was correct; longing for my love who had to transfer to the city. We live together but I work nights she's gone almost all day everyday so I see her one or two days a week. But your final conclusion is also correct I miss writing. I haven't written anything of substance since I started third shift. I can't afford to get off it at the monment or perhaps I'm just afraid to take the chance with someone else's finacial security on the line. This fear of action has left me numb uninspired and passionless. I have been in a real rut. I started to leave the site; even delete half my writing. But something keeps me here. It's that mysterious sort of fondness that occassionally drags us back into memories. We delve into the passion. thanks for the read. i'll be back later today to return the favor. I have to clean. peace
I'm glad you liked my poem, you should read "betting on the muse" by bukowski for a whole book of light and yet somewhat deep poetry (along with a few serious ass kickers of poems). bukowski combines that light easy to read element with meaning and narrative in a way that's totally unique to his style.
