I'm Italian & once intended to major in Romanic languages. It is also useful for my line of work, though I can't say I get to practice my Portuguese very often. :)
I really enjoyed the poem, and I'm glad you translated it! I read the English version & think you did great by it. Though at the same time, it was a pleasure to read in the native language & nothing can ever beat that.
Thanks for pointing out those two things. I meant to fix them the first time I ran through adjusting wording, but overlooked them. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I also use Latin crossing in my poetry (like writing a haiku in Latin) if you like mixing languages. : )
Hey, thanks for your comment on my "Lesson Learned" poem. And you were right in your assesment that I tend to bottle up anger, because I do. I don't want my friends to see me angry, so I always bottle it up around them and hide it when they are there, but then I have to let it out sometime so that's usually when I'm alone or writing poetry.
