That's more or less the reason I gave it a favorite status; I like poems that have to do with escape in a creative way, instead of an emo cut-yourself way. I've thought of taking refuge under the sea many times, especially while watching movies like The Little Mermaid or reading old Greek and Roman myths about Poseidon/Neptune and all of his lesser sea dwelling creatures. A kingdom or home under the sea, away from everything, always sounded like a nice idea to me (until I saw what scary things lived under there!).
Again, beautiful job on your poem. Any praise you get is well deserved. |
