better to love the one you can have than to pine for the one you can't.

TRUE LOVE a tanka

To see my lover
I've gone a thousand miles
and came back alone.

To find my true love
i've turned toward my neighbor
to travel no more.

To meet my lover
I've searched a thousand memories
and my time was up.

I liked the first one. The second was nice. I did not connect with the last one. I commend you for writing in this style. I know it is hard to do. You conveyed your feelings well and your wroding was nice. Overall, this was good.
