    dotsThe Mask (part 2)dots
    -------------------------------------------

    The precious mask she holds,
    Hides her feelings for you.
    Covering all the pain,
    That she goes through.
    She'll look and walk away,
to show you she doesnt care,
    But your in her prayers,
She's asking God to bless you.

    You dont see the tears
She sheds for you at night,
You dont know of the nightmares
That scares her all the time.
    She pretends to be brave
Though she's weak on the inside,
    She uses her mask
    To cover up her facade.

    You gave her scars
    That she doesnt show,
    Though it broke her heart
    She let you go.
    Everything is hidden
    So perfectly behind the mask,
And the fact that she still loves you...
    You wont ever know.

      This poem touched me.

I read into this a Mother's love for her child. All too often, mothers hide the pain their children inflict on them, the pain of indifferent children, ungrateful children, or simply the pain of a child leaving home for the last time.

Always loving, always giving, always forgiving.

I'm guessing this was not what your poem was written about, but this is what came to my mind, as I read it.

    Regards,

    Psyve

I loved this poem, I have something going on in my life right now that your poem hits to the tee. It brought up emotions that I though have vanished. I never knew how to put into words my situation, but reading your poem helped me find my way. Ill be sure to pass it on. Thank you.
