Live Love Life

I woke up today
After a strange, strange dream
When a young girl told me
Of all this world could be
If people would surrender
To their wildest hopes and dreams-
Just picture what it would be like
If we multiplied our delights

I'll sing a song just to hear the music
Cherishing the sound, I pray I'll never lose it
I stand on the rooftop, watching the edge of night
My hope wavering, as fragile as the fading light
This high note trills through the shivering air
Gliding through the breeze, without a care
I can be that note, if only for today
I can float past my troubles and pave my own way-
Living, loving, cherishing life
'Cause fortune's a balance on the edge of a knife.

ooo..... lucy likeys this. Am I allowed to say that? :-) Its really... interesting. In a very good way you see... The first part about the dream....dreams can really affect me, how about you? "watching the edge of night" that is a really beautiful thought.... "Cause fortune's a balance on the edge of a knife." Niiicee... it's like... fortune is that little chance you don't fall over and get sliced in half! Haha! Wow...amazing visual.... :-O
This was a really nice read, Toxic Rose.
Peace, Lucy

Pretty much the best type of surrender you can have~to surrender to your wildest hopes and dreams
I'm guessing this is your dream? Or perhaps other people's dreams (referring to second body)
It seems that something special comes from music and one note stands out more than the rest~Able to be carefree and surpassing the difficulties of life. you hope to cherish and hold onto it as the night slips away.
The last line is good..."fortune" do you mean luck and goodness? or money and successfullness? Whichever one, how you describe it as "..on the edge of a knife" is deep. One step this way or that ur off the knife completely (perhaps the knife denotes the pathway to a good life) or stepping too hard in one place and you may get hurt.
Nicely written
