Playing somewhat with linebreaks here. I'd like to pair down the last line, but then again, not a major issue.

    A scrambling colossus,
    thick and perilously internal,
    finds a lonely synapse mulling
    over consequences of fruition.
    With a cataclysm, they
meet to become a mouthful of honey.

Yeah, I can dig it. I think it's the fifth line that's letting it down, the first four are excellent, and the punch line is fine.
"With a cataclysm" doesn't light my wick for some reason, Todd, I can think of many ways to go, tis up to you.

    Nice little idea.

    be happy
