Just feeling inspired to write today. I haven't been writing at all. It's nice to get some feelings out, and it feels good to write again. I feel a bit of the anguish being lifted, and it's so nice. I miss my sister, I still can't believe she's gone.

Another Day Goes By

There's sometimes a smile
It's trying to break free
trying to find its way back to the old me.
There's sometimes a tear
falling from my eyes
I couldn't tell you how many that I've cried.
I fall to my knees
Lord, every time I wake
Help heal this heart of mine, help me find the words to say.
I know you're there
Carrying my weight
This aching inside, I just want to escape.
Please stay near
Don't give up on this girl
Stay with me through this pain, til' my new life unfurls.
I'm blessed by your love
I'm blessed with your mercy
I await the day you lift me up
The day you'll set me free.

Why couldn't it have been me?

Sorrels, you write with great feelings that is very becoming in verse. It's as if you are there talking to the reader! You have a growing talent that conveys sincere conviction to the reader.

Read my poem "Leave Not In Sorrow" and "Tears" at my site. They speak to the subject of sorrow and pain.

I was stoppng by your page to see if you had been back yet, and I saw that your featured work had the least views.. so I wanted to reread it and find out why becuase it all just seemed a little backwards to me...

I feel like I have read this before, but I always try to comment on everything I read and I haven't commented on this so maybe I didn't.

Anyway, this is awesome. You are so innocent here, to me this reads as though a voice of a little girl were reading it aloud to me... and the use of 'sometimes' that was really good.

Please stay near
Don't give up on this girl

That part was touching to me, because I could feel your strength and somehow I saw a smirk on your face when you said it... almost like you know that God is sovereign and that everything will someday be perfect... I dunno its hard to say what I see in that, but its amazing.

Well I have already written you a library in the past couple weeks, so I won't drag this out

I am still waiting to hear from you about this weekend and how it went.

P.S. Still praying for safe travel

The suttle things things in this piece speak so much. The last line hurts so much to read. This piece is like a Psalm. Thanks again for sharing your tremendous heart.

He loves you.

Life is full of joy and real sadness. Sometimes, the sadness overwhelms everything else and nothing else seems to matter much. Remember all the good time and hang on in there young lady and time will make sure that you will be fine.

PS your poem was lovely and very compelling.
