    The river of nettle,
    Where dust will not settle,
    Sits on arid ground, that burns,

    He is constant gardner,
    De-weeding ever farther,
    Sitting not found, as he yearns.

      This one made me think, but of what I'm not really sure...I definitely loved the perspective you had here. The poor gardener...no matter how hard he tries, he fails everything he sews.

    It kind of reminded me of life in general...because at some things no matter how hard we try to succeed, we'll always fail...it kinda gives you the a sense of hopelessness...

    I did like how on the last line of each stanza you made the words rhyme. That was pretty neat. I hope you don't mind if I add this to my favorite's list...
    Keep writing and I'll keep reading!

      Wow, I really like this, especially the title. That in the first place caught my attention (which these days seem real hard to do) This is also very different from most poems on here. Which is why I like it even more. Nice job

      poor gardener. picture his dissapointment to find that flowers won't grow in hell. no perrinials or petunias... just dust. this had great rhythm. mind if i put it on my favourites?
