Queen of the Night -------------------------------------------
Your bloom only comes out at night
Your perfumed sent is like a spell
your white plumes reflect the stars
A vine that keeps you in the ground
Skin so white
Its a shame you only come out at night
London could not keep you
America was your quest
A golden garden path
The beauty is unmatched
What causes you to bloom at night
Because you are pollinated
By nocturnal animals
As you come out at night
Fairy's float among your Vail
The bride of the moon
Water flows into your veins
The sun rises and you die for another day...
''You come out at night''. I love this piece. The idea is creative. It kind of makes me think of nightlife, you know:disco, clubbing, going wild and berserk :-) while being kind of delicate at the same time. Surreal really.
oh i love poems about nature and you really captured this flower. I love the line "the bride of the moon" i really appreciate it when writers use nature in a connected way, in revelance to each other. Do you understand what i mean? because we are all connected in the natural world and people really should stop and look around for once and enjoy the flowers. nice potrayal of innocence also , keep up the good work. nature poems are your fortay.
ah. I really like this. The picture is really pretty too. At first I was like huh? because I was just expecting it to be about a person. But I enjoyed reading it...and I've never read a poem like this..just about a flower. Very nice. Keep it up.
Hey this is a very well written poem. Although it is a simple poem about nature I think it has a lot of depth. I donít know why but I have a feeling it is not just about a flower, do correct me if I am wrong. Anyway you have a nice flow and your wording is very good. I like the title the most. It makes one relax while reading. It is like having an excursion in a fantasy world.
